Cydcor, a Westlake Village, CA based provider of sales staff, demonstrated their athletic process in the 2010 annual Ventura Corporate Games, based in Ventura Country. (That’s the county just north of Los Angeles County). The expression “corporate games” usually refers to office politics, but the Ventura Corporate Games are real-life sports competitions. These office Olympics feature a wide range of high-drama sports, such as bocce ball, dodgeball, badminton, basketball, billiards, and a 5K run, and yes…lazertag. Team Cydcor earned its bragging rights by taking home four gold medals and one bronze. “The basketball win was ‘poetic justice’ and was due in part to the support received by Cydcor community team members,” said Team Coordinator Joel Daniels.
The Ventura Corporate Games are held for a very good cause. Corporate competitors volunteer for Habitat for Humanity for Ventura County and a Earth Day Beach cleanup. The games also help foster teamwork and corporate goodwill, which we all need during these tough times.

Adulterous Professions
The infamous 7th commandment, “Thou shalt not commit adultery,” is apparently difficult for some to abide by.
AshleyMadison.com is a dating site for supposedly “committed” individuals to connect and search for their slice of pie on the side. The site recently put together a survey to determine the occupations of those who are looking to cheat. Topping the chart for women were teachers and stay at home moms. For men, the professions most prone to cheating are physicians and police officers.

Nets Partner with Roni Deutch
The New Jersey Nets actually have a shot at winning something: the record for the fewest wins in an NBA season. The Nets have won a whopping six games. In order to drum up publicity and motivate fans to attend their games, the Nets have partnered with Tax Lady Roni Lynn Deutch to offer free tax services to New Jersey residents.
Fans who attend the Nets’ first game against the Orlando Magic will be eligible for a free income tax return from the Roni Deutch Tax Center. Deutch believes that this partnership is a perfect match, considering tax season and basketball season overlap. Having played college softball, Roni is no stranger to sports fandom and has stated that she knows “two things about sports fans: They take sports very seriously and they still have to deal with the IRS.”
Roni Deutch and the Nets are excited about this new partnership and the opportunity to create a winning situation for the fans, and hopefully, for the Nets.
Nets now offer fans tax returns

For our reading enjoyment, The Consumerist was kind enough to round up all the juicy mayhem news that comes with Black Friday, the biggest and most dangerous shopping day of the year.
The most significant news of the day? Employees and shoppers alike made it through the day with no deaths or major injuries, which sadly, has become a typical occurrence on Black Friday. However, not everyone left unscathed.
Check out the stories on The Consumerist from around the country that day, including fist fights, shoving and the occasional spit.
McDonald’s is trying to “go green,” too.
It’s exchanging the red in its European logo for a “deep hunter green” evidently to show those overseas that it cares about the environment.
About 100 German McDonald’s restaurants will make the change by the end of 2009, according to a report from the Associated Press. Also, some franchises in Great Britain and France have already started using the new color scheme.
