A new “trailer” is floating around the internet: “Blackstar Warrior”, a hilarious recasting of Star Wars as a blaxploitation flick ala Shaft and Superfly. Billy Dee Williams is Lando Calrissian, the baddest dude in the galaxy. Star Wars finally becomes a true 70s film!
StarCraft II will dominate the game market, that much is beyond doubt. Now you can plow through all the game reviews, but I found this elegant, persuasive review from the New York Times to be particularly compelling. The article is written by a non-geek, non-hardcore gamer, but Seth Schiesel’s piece will make the most apathetic computer person hungry for Blizzard’s new mega-hit. StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty sounds like a surefire winner.

His Lady Gaga-style moves are becoming a viral “underground” hit. (“Underground” as in “subway,” that is). Stay tuned for more choreography in our country’s mass transit systems.

The New Dork
alicia keys, empire state of mind, entrepreneur state of mind, jay-z, the new dork

Patrick Stewart, aka Captain Jean-Luc Picard, just got promoted. Nope, he’s not an admiral with Starfleet. Patrick Stewart received a real-life title as the UK’s latest knight. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II knighted the Shakespearean actor and Star Trek icon in a ceremony last Wednesday.
All hail Sir Patrick, defender of the galaxy! Er, we mean, defender of Her Royal Majesty!
