The New Jersey Nets actually have a shot at winning something: the record for the fewest wins in an NBA season. The Nets have won a whopping six games. In order to drum up publicity and motivate fans to attend their games, the Nets have partnered with Tax Lady Roni Lynn Deutch to offer free tax services to New Jersey residents.

Fans who attend the Nets’ first game against the Orlando Magic will be eligible for a free income tax return from the Roni Deutch Tax Center. Deutch believes that this partnership is a perfect match, considering tax season and basketball season overlap. Having played college softball, Roni is no stranger to sports fandom and has stated that she knows “two things about sports fans: They take sports very seriously and they still have to deal with the IRS.”

Roni Deutch and the Nets are excited about this new partnership and the opportunity to create a winning situation for the fans, and hopefully, for the Nets.

Nets now offer fans tax returns
