CNN reported on 14-year-old boy who built his very own power-generating windmills after he had to drop out of school because he couldn’t afford the tuition. Now William Kamkwamba is back in school and has become an international ambassador for renewable energy.

Israel leads the way in clean tech

The Green Prophet Web site, which covers trends in renewable energy and conservation, published a detailed profile of Israel’s high-tech and well-organized renewable energy efforts. Israel particularly excels in water conservation and reuse. Small wonder, as the country is located in a very arid region.

There is a lot the United States could learn from the State of Israel.
