Here’s a great video that’s been making its rounds on the internet all day. It’s a recent Wheel of Fortune clip where a contestant makes a pretty unfortunate guess. Check out the clip below.
The NY Daily News reports that 29,000 post cards containing misinformation were shipped out by a Brooklyn, NY post office. Thousands of full-color post cards were sent from postal officials in an attempt to direct customers to a secondary post office during the holidays. The post cards were supposed to point locals to a USPS mail center located inside of a grocery store. Unfortunately, Brooklyn’s USPS customers were being misdirected, as the post cards listed the wrong address.
In early December, the first-class post cards began going out to approximately 29,000 residents living in the 11234 zip code. The post card indicated that customers should patronize a post office at 2005 Avenue U, where a card shop selling stamps and mailing letters for USPS used to exist. However, that card shop was closed just before the holidays and is now up for rent.
The correct USPS location is in a Foodtown grocery store at 1958 Ralph Ave, nearly 3.5 miles away from the address listed on the mailer. A USPS spokeswoman, Darleen Reid-DeMeo, stated that the local USPS officials had mistakenly put the wrong address on the mailer. She went on to say that the post office would be correcting the address and ending out a second post card mailing. She was unable to comment on how much these mailings cost.
